Mike and I celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary yesterday. We had a nice quiet fondue dinner at the Melting Pot and talked about the last year. Our major milestone, of course, was spending much of the last year focused on my pregnancy. We acquired some material things -- a new car, new furniture, etc. We made some new friends and reconnected with some old ones. Mike's business has really taken off. We realized that this baby will be coming almost exactly 7 years after we first met, and wondered at how we never would have thought at that time that this is where we'd be 7 years later. But mostly, we concluded that for the past year we've had a slow, steady hum of life running along smoothly and happily. And really, what more could one ask?
Easter Mass, 9 am. The 5-year-old two pews ahead had a red canvas bag with her, stuffed full of books and quiet toys, bearing a picture of Jesus talking to little kids and the caption "My Stay Quiet in Church Bag." She quietly emptied out every object from the bag. Then just as quietly, she placed the bag over her head.
I guess that's one way to stay quiet in church! (Dad noticed a few moments later and removed said bag from said head).
Not for a million bucks would I sell this particular doggie. But he sure looks damn cute!
