Know Thyself.

I can see not realizing your pregnant at first if you don't have symptoms. I can see not recognizing, at first, that the constant peeing and tummy rumblings are, in fact, symptoms. But c'mon, at some point you gotta realize that you haven't had your period! And even if you're irregular, you have to have gained some weight. How she didn't know until she was actually in labor is really just beyond me.

Many Happy Returns

Another successful web pairing has consummated in marriage. At this point, I am almost embarassed to say that Mike and I did NOT meet on the web. Neither Don nor Michelle still 'blog in the traditional sense, but no matter: 'twas the web that brought these two old school web designers together. And brought many of their non-family guests to their wedding, as well. They were blessed with a beautiful fall day, beautiful smiles, and a beautiful love for each other. Congrats you crazy kids!

(l-r): The ravishing bride; beautiful cake; ladies in waiting.

We Won

In the kind of litigation I do, cases often drag on for years without any resolution. So it's nice when an actual final judgment comes down, and even better when that final judgment is a win for our side. Because I figured out how to get jurisdiction over them, a company in Australia that claimed it was going to start an airline with the same name as our client's airline -- and maybe at one point, did have legit plans, but later very clearly decided to just hold the domain name hostage for money and/or spite -- has been ordered to turn over the offending Domain Name. Better yet, we won the right to go to VeriSign directly to get the name turned over, so we don't have to count on the Aussies to comply with the order. Better still, we also won an award of attorneys fees and the maximum statutory damages allowable by law (guess who did all of the damages research???). Yay, team!
