Unfortunately, the new Movable Type blog is still a little bit of a secret -- Mike hasn't finished making it pretty, so it's over here hidden in /blog land, where no one knows to look. Maybe this week will be the week!

The big switch to Movable Type is almost complete, and a big hip hooray for that. There have been so many times recently where I have had the urge to post, and I haven't been able to. I've met most of the founding crew of Blogger, and I have a lot of respect for what that program did and how it changed the face of the web. But even I, a mere novice when it comes to web, see the major problems with Blogger at this point. I am glad to have the option of posting again!

Moving our weblog to Movable Type... this is a test

I just read that Rep. Patsy Mink passed away. I knew her tangentially -- three of my very good friends used to work for her. She came to my house for Mel's bridal shower. I watched her go a little crazy with the one armed bandit in Las Vegas. She will be missed.

We met TheBaby yesterday. My husband started and ended the evening with ticking noises, I guess 'cause I started and ended the evening by cooing over the absolutely adorable little one. Isn't that what one is supposed to do when meets a new baby?
